Baron Karl Christian von Berckheim

Karl Christian von Berckheim was minister and diplomat for the German state Baden. After his study in state law, he entered the political arena as Chamberlain (1801), after which his political career quickly developed. In 1812, Berckheim was established as member of the Council of State of Baden. As Minister of Internal Affairs, he represented Baden at the Congress of Vienna, together with Grand Duke Karl Ludwig Friedrich.
